Can anyone working at Blend let me know how WLB is there? I'm not expecting standard 9-5 and expect crunch time, but how crunchy is it? Also anyone know about how they are organizing RTO? Finally, do you like it there? #blend #blendlabs
we are a remote first company now, RTO is completely optional and we’re gradually allowing employees to return in the next few weeks. i’ve heard lots of variance in terms of work hours but 40 hour weeks seem normal to me
Thanks for the response! 40 hours seems a bit optimistic from what I've gathered. I'm used to startup life so I might find it easy. Glad to know RTO will be optional. I'm hoping it's not manager discretion. Do you enjoy working at Blend? Tbh it seems a bit too PC. I'm hoping the PC culture stays in the background and team / software engineering culture is more important and prominent.
yeah remote first is an engineering wide mandate, managers can’t choose. i think company wide we try to be PC, but that’s just to stay in tune with the bay area culture/expectations. doesn’t really translate to what ppl do day to day
Anyone have insight to which is the best team to join or apply, for Product or engineering? and why? On the site, i see 6 product verticals - mortgage, home equity, deposit accounts, close, vehicle loans, platform.
I had a call with a PM there, was a real arrogant piece of shit.
Interesting. Do you know what team it was? ( PM = project manager?)
