I am a software engineer and recently attended a BAH recruiting event. The process was interesting and something I never experienced. Each applicant had a small table in a large hall room, totaling about 30. 1-3 interviewers from different groups within the company would rotate to specific applicants every half hour after some behavioral/job fit discussion. I think each applicant had a varying number of groups talk to them (some candidates left after the first half hour, one hour, etc). At the end, each applicant filled out a ranking for which group they preferred to work with most. So I’m confused what happens next. Is each applicant guaranteed a job within a group? Was that the entire interview process (I had no prior interview other than the this event)? Has anyone experienced something similar and when should I be expecting feedback?

What happened? First time hearing such a story.
My fiancée works at Booz; now the interviewers do a similar ranking on their side and then HR does matching of who teams want to hire and who candidates want to work for.
