Got offer from lam research and zillow recently. I am currently looking for WLB and learnings to grow. Lam Research : base : 165k sign on : 40k RSUs: 100k/ 3yrs position: 2-3 days at office- not completly remote, L4 position Concerns : China- Taiwan conflict. And current chip bans from US regulations. Fear of sanctions causing layoffs. Is it good idea to ask this question to recruiter? Zillow : I do not have figures yet. Yet to decide on team. But after discussion, recruiter mentioned total comp can go around 220-240k. position: remote, - p3 position. Concerns : current housing market and recession. Current organization : OCI (fed up of on call process) yoe: 7 yr I have another offer from Blizzard too. But I am waiting on final numbers from them. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks! #offers #offer #sde #softwaredevelopersalary #salarycomparison #companyculture #zillow #lamresearch
Zillow CEO already communicated no layoffs for year or 2. They just let go 25% ppl in Jan where 11% in engineering. I think it is safe to join Z now
This is true .. but zillow ceo also said Zillow offers business was great till a few days before he shut off and laid people off.
Yes but they already laid off 25%, post it we had major attrition in engineering. I doubt they can afford another lay off. Recently also gave a reset value for stock to prevent further attrition.
Zillow. Both could suck for their own reasons. Why not take the higher pay position?
Lam — Trade tensions, semiconductor downturn Zillow — Housing bubble is bursting, mortgage rates staying high due to inflation Why not stay at your current job? Or keep looking.
Zillow without any doubt. Do you know what is e WLB at Lam? Yes, in case you don’t know, it’s 100hrs per week
The position I applied is more big data centric. Any idea which org I should be aware of from lam research?
LRCX metro team are very data centric. But sadly this team are lead by morons and they recently disbanded
