I’m in talks about a role at LogMeIn and was curious if any folks here have experience with the company. Is it doomed now that Zoom has become so dominant? Are they pivoting? Interested in any insider perspective.
Just don’t. Are you in Santa Barbara? Amazon has an office there. It would be a downgrade for sure, and I don’t predict good things for them with Zoom, Slack, FB Messenger Rooms, etc. Go look at a 5y stock history on LOGM. It moved from $67 to $86. AMZN moved from $625 to $3221.
Stay away... PM me if you want more info.
The biggest issue with LMI (imo) has been not being able to figure out who they are and what space they want to operate in. One day they are a collaboration company, next is a support company and another may be identity company. They continue to try and pivot to compete with Zoom, but they are always a day late and a dollar short. This can be easily seen in lack of innovation in the GoTo products, how the products are offered and they are stuck in the past with Marketing and Sales competing against each other, often at the expense of the customer . GTM and GTW are good products, they just were acquired by the wrong company.
And we just had a bunch of layoffs yesterday and today BTW. 2nd time this year.
Personally, I’m optimistic about the company. I think we have a lot of talented people and I feel like the PE firms will help the company focus a bit more. We have some good products and services. I’d definitely consider it, I feel like the work/life balance is good. And I think there are some interesting opportunities that we are exploring right now. Personally, I believe we can differentiate enough to have success going forward. I will admit that I have often wondered if I will be laid of because I’m a US employee and generally the company isn’t hiring much in the US any more and most layoffs have happened in the US.
Lol... Is that you HR?
They just got acquired by pe, stay away
