I have got an offer from Google and UiPath. They do not match the current salary but if I add the stocks and other options then yes, the offer is better than what I am getting now. Google-$140k + $236k stocks vesting over 4 years+ 15% Bonus (they say everyone gets full bonus) + 30k joining Bonus Google is bringing me at a strong Level 4.- Technical Program Manager. They say they will promote me at Level 5 within an year. They see me Level 5 at least but still want me to come in as a strong level 4. I was expecting Level 5 or Level 6. It is kind of 2 step down from my current role but I have heard Google does that to everyone. They don’t hire you at a level you are currently at. They go by their own determination. UiPath- Release and Change Manager- $150k + $350k stocks vesting over 4 years+ 10k joining bonus + 10k relocation bonus + 20%~30% bonus every year(they say everyone gets 20% for sure). UiPath said they will promote me at a Principal level within 3 months. They hired me at senior level now but they definitely see me moving to Principal within 3 months. Current job- Medtronic- $195k base +20% Performance Bonus + No Stock options
Stay at medtronic
They do not have equity for my role but I am at a senior role
Agree with Google. I would stay at Medtronic. Better wlb.
Is the Google job remote? What city is the offer for?
Boulder, CO
Do not believe 3 months promotion shit. Once you join, you will be in long queue and have to sweat to prove your worth which takes time.
I agree
Start at Google first. You can join the unicorns later.
As good as UiPath is, assuming the basis of choice is total comp and growth opportunities, I'd actually choose 🔎 over 🤖. Startups (early or late stage) will line up for you after G especially with more equity upside over time
Don’t believe what UiPath recruiter said. I was in same situation as you. The coincidence is that the choice is between Google and UiPath as well. I took UiPath’s offer(before IPO). Recruiter said I will be promoted after half a year. But the truth is I worked on night and weekends, probably will be promoted on about one year. (Manager said “most likely will be promoted on next February) But tbh I am not sure this would 100% happen. My suggestion: negotiate harder or ask for additional interview. It would be way more harder to get promoted once you are inside the company.
Is there a lot of weekend work at UiPath?
@uipath is WLB really bad at Uipath?
OP how long did it take after your onsite to hear back from Uipath?
Couple of weeks.
Op, did you decide where to go between Uipath and Google. Did you find any information on WLB and culture at Uipath
