I've heard from a non Redfin agent that they hate Redfin and on the buyers side they prefer to sell to a buyer with non Redfin agent. He also mentioned that non-redfin agent (specially if in the same company as the seller's agent) can get some discount by negotiating agent's rates with the seller and mentioned houses bought by Redfin, they usually go much higher than the estimate. However, we have seen many agents and we wanted to make offer with them, but they didn't spend much time with us to go through the disclosure or they didn't give us any advice. However, we had good experience seeing houses with Redfin agent. So we are thinking of making an offer with them. But we are afraid our offer will not get through bc of our agent. So, in short, I want to know whether you had a good experience with Redfin and what have you heard about this? What do you recommend? TC: ~650k #housing #redfin #agent #offer
Don’t agents see companies like Redfin as an existential threat? So I’m not surprised they are anti-Redfin where they can. Ultimately though, their duty is to the seller, and not reporting a high offer is basically malpractice.
This
Redfin agents make less commission than non-Redfin agents. Where do you think the high quality agents are working? With that said, if you have the strongest offer, it seems fairly unlikely your choice of buyers agent will lose you the deal.
Yes I’ve heard that Redfin agents are not highest caliber..
Going with Redfin agent is risky. Most of them are newbies who want to get started. They offer round error cash back. You need realtor who have good contacts and can close deals. Most of real estate deals are geared towards closing deals with certainty and not price(small delta) (contrary to popular opinion). This depends on your financial profile and credibility of realtor. This is precisely the job of an influential realtor. Someone who can drive your credibility reflected in your offer. Most of high end houses are always in demand regardless of market condition and you will always have competition. Given that I think Redfin agent are good for selling houses. Because it’s a sellers market. Not all Redfin agents are useless. Some of them are good. You should all shop around within Redfin up until you find the right agent.
I talked with several non Redfin agents before settling with my Redfin agent who helped me win an offer two days ago at list price with contingencies and other negotiations. It’s also a factor of the house but this agent was fantastic. He was very non pushy as opposed to other agents I worked with and made sure he always had my best interests. I really enjoyed working with him and would recommend him to others. I would not say this about all Redfin agents though because the agent I was automatically assigned to by Redfin was not great and I requested a change.
This is because market is soft. If you bought a house that no one wants then who would buy it from you.
Real estate agents view redfin as a threat so they spread bad news about it. Redfin has very good agents too just like every other firm.
Bought home using a redfin agent. She knew what it took to close the deal. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.
Redfin agents have a team behind them to support you through the whole process. Traditional agents are independent entrepreneurs to serve you with their own experience and network
I had experience with several Redfin and non-Redfin agents and from my experience Redfin agents were extremely low quality in comparison to the others.
I had great experience with redfin agent. Depends on the agent .
If you get the same agent on the next tour
