I have an interview for a Software Engineer role coming up this Friday with Teradata. Assuming they make an offer, how much TC can I expect? I have 2 yoe and a grad degree. Is there anyone working for Teradata here who can help?
I used to work at TD. Starting salary for swe was 80k. Got 2500 or something for relo as well and a sign on bonus. They changed their comp model to be more competitive to the Bay Area after I left.
Can you refer me to CZI?
Expect around lines of 100-110K base.RSU is reserved for staff and above position. No signup bonus— relocation could be around 5k But on other hand - why do you want to join a sinking company ?
I contracted at Teradata once. It’s known as San Diego’s elephant graveyard. Whenever someone gets laid off in San Diego, Teradata will happily take them in after all the other companies have rejected them. Lots of lifers and mediocre talent at the company. Very top down structure with lots of red tape. They used an ancient version of Java when I was there and forced all the teams to use some shitty Ant project build template.
I hope you did not join

They used to offer $82k base for SWE new grad like 5 years back. Add the inflation, maybe $90k today . This was in their SD offixe
Thank you! Do you know if they offer RSUs, moving assistance, sign on bonus?
I think they did offer some relocation.. maybe $2k.. not sure about others. This offer was for my friend and he got laid iff within a year, so he couldnt get to keep any of his RSUs
