ASRC Federal contract with NASA DevOps Engineer role Good idea for recession?
Do you know how to operate computer?
What’s a computer?
War is always in session.
ASRC literally prints money, it's very easy for them to get awarded government contracts. The biggest hiccup you will face is when (probably not if) budgets don't get passed and they play the continuing resolution game. This could mean you see reduced work hours till its passed, but not typically a big deal but stressful. If you really want to know the stability you could ask about the specific contract they were awarded and you'd be working under. Ask what the length is and option years, but that's a pretty technical question procurment specific so depending who you're talking to they might not know. https://www.ncai.org/tribal-directory/alaska-native-corporations Someone's opinion about these types of companies with info about how they can get gov contacts differently then other companies https://washingtontechnology.com/opinion/2022/03/it-time-rework-set-asides-alaska-native-corporations/362721/
Thanks for the response man 👍
If you have more questions feel free to DM me, very familiar with fed space and procurement/contracts. And someone what with ASRC ... But if you go this route, honestly the company doesn't matter a ton at high enough level. You can bounce contract to contract fairly easy, similar to bouncing around FAANG...
Current ASRC employee. Not the most exciting work but definitely recession safe. Uncle Sam basically hands them a blank check every month.
Compared to what?
Idk FAANG I guess
