I have an on site interview with Blue Origin. And they asked me to prepare for 45 min presentation about myself and my work projects. Followed by series of technical interviews with different engineers. Does this seem worth it? I don't even know what the TC is like for this company or the WLB. My YOE is < 1
I heard their Mars office is really nice
Ayy lmao
Same here I have onsite interview at BO next week. I need to submit a write-up plus presentation about myself. It will be a looooong day of interviewing.
What are you going to present about? Also you should post your experience
Per my recruiter’s email, my presentation should include the following: - My education and why I chose my major - My work experience, why I chose my employers, reasons for switching jobs - Why Blue Origin - Technical expertise, tools, accomplishments - 1 to 2 examples to showcase I will post my experience :) I think a couple others have already posted BO interviewing tips and experience here.
Hey FG, how did the interview go?
My interview went fine in my opinion but I did not get an offer. I asked for feedback from the recruiter but did not get any (as expected). The day started with a tour of the facility (which was Boeing’s old Kent plant) and it was pretty neat. I then went into the 45-minute presentation session which I showcased my work experience and work sample in front of ~6-7 folks. They include the hiring manager, customers of the role, and one bar raiser (someone outside of the team checking for cultural fit). Individual 30-minute interviews follow with each of the 6 or 7 folks with lunch in between. The individual sessions allowed the folks to ask more detailed questions. Everybody I met seems nice and genuine. I could tell they were very specific (read: picky) with the person whom they want to fill the position with. I have to say the presentation part was super nerve wrecking. I could handle panel interviews but the presentation at a job interview was not what I was used to. I wish all who’s interested in BO better luck then I did!

Real talk: in what way private schools are better than public in nyc?
TC or GTFO. This is pretty typical recruiting process. If it makes you feel better you can ask for a range from your recruiter. However that may lock you in a lower band even if you out perform your current yoe.
Glassdoor has 6 salaries ranging from 96k to 182k. I was just surprised that I gotta prep a slide deck. Never heard of that. Thanks tho
I would clarify with the recruiter tho they prob wanna hear about your technical depth. Projects you have worked for sometime. The most challenging designs. How you would have done it different and etc.
