Why do so many people in tech hate working with privacy? It is understood how essential it is right? We are trying to prevent your data from being used in ways that would make it not your own. Maybe I'm talking to a proverbial brick wall?
No hate on my end. As a TPM and SDM, Privacy is something baked into whatever's being built. Privacy by design for the win!
Tbh I'm sad I didn't look at Tmo or Privacy in Telecom in general. Tech privacy is maddening, how is PbD over at Tmo?
Well, my teams and I were all let go so I can't really say what the last year has been like. While I was there it was supported -- but T-Mobile culture is "change". As part of that I think some initiatives are abandoned before they should be. With that you end up with different groups having different levels of adoption...
Because integrating with us is a PITA and developers want to move fast and see us as a hindrance slowing them down. And I’d agree a bit with the above regarding laziness. If I had a nickel for every time I heard, “but that’s so much work” when they aren’t privacy compliant 🙄
Ahaaaa Google sounds just like Amazon. "I don't know why people care" or "I didn't know I could pull my own data" are the two phrases I have on sticky notes at home.

Because most developers are lazy and care more about their own data than other people’s data.
