Background check at Reddit
Did you put in your two weeks before or after background check clears? What does Reddit background check asks for — how many previous jobs? Debating putting my two weeks before or after it clears. The earlier I quit my current role, the more time off I’d get between jobs… but I’ve heard before to never quit before your background clears (and no; nothing to hide but makes me a little anxious hearing some crazy stories! #reddit

There's always risk quiting before everything clears - there's even risk quiting anytime before the job starts. You gotta weight the risk vs how important time off is to you. Could also consider using PTO if you have any
What exactly is the risk here because I don’t see it? Worried about going back, they’ll get the clean report so that shouldn’t be a factor. Your early exodus would carry more weight. Issue for another employer? Who cares, you appear to have employment lined up already and how would a future employer know anything about the actual timeline of Reddit getting the report of which they wouldn’t use anyways and do their own. School me.
