Budget is $50-150k, ideally less than $100k. Pure fun car, less than 5k miles a year. Have two other family cars. Want something very fun but relatively reliable so it’s not in the shop more than regular maintenance (want to maximize driving time and don’t want the inconvenience). 4 seats is preferable but 2 seats is doable. I’ve wanted a 911 my entire life. I test drove a used C2 992 coupe and it was fine, but didn’t feel special. Also tried a used taycan 4S and cayman s. Taycan was ok but sort of a boat. Cayman was fun. I’m considering a 997 or 991 C2S, GTS or turbo but they’re harder to find. For the prices they’re going for I figure it may be best to just buy new/newer. But new 911s are hard to find and have long waits. Also considering a BMW M2C and M3. Can anyone help guide me here? TC 2M Edit: my TC will only hold for a few more years before dropping by more than half. It’s due to equity appreciation. Also looking to FIRE in ~5 years so trying to keep expenses reasonable but still have fun.

2M TC? Worrying about reliability of Porsche? I’d recommend Forza Horizon 5 where all the dreams can come true.
Phantom
With 2M TC, just get GT3
I want to but have a hard time justifying that price. I also want to retire in a few years so I don’t want to use up too much cash that could be invested
Not enough TC to justify purchase
Hopefully you're trolling
RS5 or RS7. Period. Why do you care about reliability? 😂
I don’t want to have to waste my time taking it in and not being able to drive it. I’ve always loved RS5’s but they don’t seem as fun as a 911. Also looking at an RS6 wagon. RS7 is too much of a luxo barge
Depends on what you like. I like my S5. And want to go RS5/7 next. Probably RS5. RS7 is a little bigger than my S5 sportback or an RS5 sportback by like 2 inches. Not as toss-able. Definitely test drive the RS5 coupe. It’s more of a luxury GT. Or buy an S5 and tune it. It’ll be much faster than an RS5. Much more engine bay space due to lack of a turbo as well.
You want a s2000.
V10 R8 with the top missing
Love the R8 but not a fan of convertibles
Get a used Miata Then in a few months, if you still think it's worth having a fun car, sell it for similar price and then commit to a Porsche of your preference.
Miata is always the answer
best idea for entry level track car too, if u want to actually try racing
