Redfin Employee Salary Revealed!
Last year, I interviewed with Redfin for an analyst position and the excel workbook they provided me as homework included all of Redfin employees salaries. It included all employees' comp information. What should I do with it? 1. Bury it 2. Show it to Redfin HR 3. Release it to public
Keep a copy. Useful for your own moves. A bit unclear, but it sounds like you got access to a portal that you think should now be revoked? Good to inform HR if it's a security problem based on how the site behaves.
Excel workbook. It seems like they do their employees comp in excel

you'd want to work with a company that disregards personal information so passively? I'd accept offer then get to manager and walk the fuck away ripping the company...oh wait you mean in real life... I'd definitely recind my application. next time YOUR info will be shared
How do you know it's not just test data they put together for your interview...

Yeh it seems like test data! And they ask you to discard their homework q&a's anyways. As long as its not tied to an employee name, it was just meant for testing!
I would contact HR and let them know that anyone could waltz into an interview, take all their salary info, and dish it out to their competitors. Also, I would tell the person who interviewed you not to release that.
I told the interviewer but I bet the interviewer didn't tell anyone that this mistake was made. π
