Continuously faking it and making it

Lucked/networked my way into an application security engineer role after getting an RSA certification with cognizant and started at 72k with 10k sign on. Two years later of fumbling through projects I applied to a GRC specialist role and some how got that. 26 years old New TC:109k 2 years of experience and still have no idea what the fuck Iโ€™m doing. Definitely blessed though

Fake it till you make it! Acknowledge your luck but donโ€™t dwell on it. Pass it on one day ๐Ÿ”

One thing you'll begin to realize is that a lot of people are doing the same thing. Rarely is someone an expert at what they do and they are crushing it...a lot of people are taking chances and doing something similar. I say this because you may feel like an outsider or dont ready for some roles...but a lot of people are in the same position, so be confident and keep crushing it. Come back in a few years and let us know youre the next person to crack 400k TC haha. Great work

No joke - I got my first shot in tech when I didn't even know how to CC someone on an email. Today? Straight crushing.
