Hi, I got an offer from oracle db org for IC2. I want to know about the hikes and stock refreshers and promotions. The recruiter has mentioned that there will be good hikes and promotions. However, I've heard from some individuals that Oracle does not typically provide significant salary increases. Is it true with the db org also? If they provide hikes may i know how will they evaluate and how much will they give? oracle offer : 190k TC: 150k #oracle #oracleDB #stocks #hikes #refreshers
I’ve heard db org gets good refresher/ raises but honestly the best advice I heard here is negotiate well, and assume you’ll have the same salary / stock for 4 years. I’ve been here for a few review cycles and they’ve blamed “market conditions” for no raises or refreshers.
Although if you’re a top performer, refreshers can be good
What happens if I get 3 or 4 rating. My biggest fear is they are giving 20k as joining bonus. If there is no hike then from next year onwards my TC decreases.
Signing bonus is one time bump, don’t factor that into TC or divide it across 4 years for true tc
This sucks. I will try to interview other companies along the way. I am on non immigrant visa, can’t switch that frequently. I want some company that values my work.
Oracle is like 2 separate companies. Legacy oracle and oci. Only oci gives competitive comp and refreshers. DB is part of legacy oracle.
If u are top 10% performances in ur business unit. U will get above average refresh else none or average 1-2 percent. This is applicable across Oracle. Also ur project should be critical to Oracle success. Every org has critical projects. Identify and work on such projects.
