It depends on team, but most have good wlb. Job security is also good. It’s been quite awhile since there were large-scale layoffs. Usually when there’s something small, it’s only bottom-tier people who go, so get in and prove yourself and you will typically be fine.
My experience in software engineering here is WLB is good as long as you set boundaries yourself and can get your deliverables delivered. I rarely work more than 40 hours in a week. Typically people get a generous chance to apply internal if their business unit is downsizing before getting laid off. And unfortunately I’ve seen under-performers stick around for a long time. So job security is pretty good.
WLB is really great. Job security is good too. Once you prove yourself and build the trust with manager, working hours can be flexible too.
WLB is great for IC roles. Managers often work a lot more and do odd hours meetings. Pay is not great.
Very good. Remote work is the best part at HPE in my opinion. Absolutely no pressure of working long or on weekends.
Hey thanks! Mind if I dm you?
Sure
Depends on team. My first 3 years wlb was amazing. Next 3 heavy coordination with team in India. I end up working late into night sometimes. Check if most of the team you are working with is in the same timezone.
Good...way better than any company
