Are there no data points on levels.fyi?

Not very good for non IC positions

200-220k base . 400-700k RSU. 30-100k joining bonus. ...you can get the upper ranges with competitive offers. Else you can expect to negotiate to around mid-points.

That seems low, no? I’ve seen IC5 offers in the low to mid 3s. Your midpoints are right around the same.

Meta motameta Apr 15, 2022

Hmm low is subjective. Most offers u read on blind also include refreshers. Target at M1 is 200. All inclusive over 4 years that's like 422.5 to 539 per year (this assumes target refresher for both...they actually can go upto 400 per year and in some cases 500...also, there can be additional equity on top). You may be talking about IC5 SWE ...which should roughly map to similar numbers to M1 DS (=L6). ... DS is roughly n-1 to SWE pay overall ... Or another way to look at it is refreshers and initial grants are about 0.7 x of SWE at the same level. (PM is closer to SWE but still slightly lesser)

Thanks all. I'm surprised by the numbers. I thought it went higher than 450 TC for M1 joining but looks like it ain't much more

Maybe you see interviewing for DS Analytics instead of Core?

Amazon L6needsinf OP Apr 16, 2022

I think it's analytics yeah.

What are you now? Data science manager L6?

I have an M1 offer for DE (which I believe is same/similar pay to DS). Offer was for 425k TC in Seattle (not including sign on). Happy with it.
