2U Layoffs
Anyone with more info on 2U laying off 20% of its personnel? Can someone copy and paste the email?
The email doesn’t mention numbers. The company call does. Based on the chart I saw, the largest hit group will be marketing.

I have an accepted offer and am starting later this month. The job is on the edX business line which is where the company is realigning focus so I suspect ill be ok for now. Any insight there from anyone would be appreciated.
I would do more research because EdX is not producing the revenue they expected so there might be vulnerability there. But there is no way to say for sure. I worked for 2U for three and they are a great company but do tend to overspend/over hire and have to lay people off.
Their Execs were commenting in March on how they were going to rebrand their initiatives under the EdX name. I would pass on this. Since their stock cratered after the Q1 Earnings call in March its been all down hill.
