Alaska Airlines is passing through Trump’s corporate tax cuts as employee bonuses. Any tech companies doing the same?
Our CEO just announced our 401k matching will be 200% of 5 percent we contribute from 200% of 3 percent we contribute right now from February. I guess that counts as a bonus. As a company it pays lower 30s in tax rate. So, tax cut is a boon for the shareholders.
But, but the tax cut is gonna hurt middle class.
Ha ha ha! Dude, we’ve been hurting the middle class for over 2 decades now. I often wonder how do the poor and the lower middle class even make it. Everything is designed to benefit the rich. Having grown up in a lower middle class family I totally see the contrast.
No, because the taxes for most large tech companies is going up since a lot of the loopholes have been plugged.
Can you cite a source or two that supports this claim?
Can’t seem to find the article I read but here’s another one: https://www.cnbc.com/amp/2017/12/01/amid-tax-bill-euphoria-one-big-part-of-the-stock-market-is-getting-left-behind-tech.html https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2017-12-05/trump-s-stock-forecast-fails-after-senate-tax-bill-s-bombshell
