Will the longevity industry be the next big thing?

Think of how much people would want a drug or procedure that extends not only their lifespan but also their healthspan, or a drug that de-ages them in some way. Think how much countries would pay to essentially delete age-related health issues and have a healthy, young, vigorous population. Now imagine what happens when you get the best software engineers, biotech researchers, medical scientists, etc into the XEROX PARC-like collaborative environment that made Silicon Valley famous. They would come up with some banger ideas to make this happen. Fully automated cell testing, diffs between results, scaling experiments and making them reproducible. Researcher and team describes an experiment, it just happens in the background, they can move on. This seems like the next leap forwards for humanity to me. Imagine the medical innovations and accomplishments we would see!

If you have not already please do yourself a favor and read the book 'Outlive' by Peter Attia.

Earth is very ghetto. I would not want anything to delay my exit from this place.

But you would want to be healthy as a 60 year old, wouldn't you? And fit and not suffer from any diseases. You can still... "Voluntarily leave" at any point

It feels like watching the new reality in tech is like watching 4 year olds play soccer. There’s a ball a bunch of kids attacking it. The ball moves and the swarm of children follow it. No strategy just a bunch of children desperately trying to reach the ball.
