As a result, I am actively seeking new job opportunities in the field of software development. I want to take this opportunity to share a brief overview of my skills: Skills: Programming Languages: Java, Python, JavaScript, Kotlin. Database Technologies: SQL, Mongo DB. Other Technologies & Frameworks: Microsoft Azure, REST API, Django, Android, .NET, AWS, Angular, Nodejs, Eclipse, React js, Express js, AWS Lambda, S3, CloudWatch. If any of you could kindly provide a referral or information about potential job openings in your respective companies related to software development, I would be extremely grateful for your assistance. Additionally, I have a concern regarding my immigration status. Although my H1-B application was approved, I lost my job before the start date, which was scheduled for October 1. I am also set to begin my STEM OPT starting next month. Any guidance on how to ensure a smooth continuation of my employment in the United States would be highly appreciated. Sorry for your loss. Kinda in a similar situation. Not sure if you can still use the approved petition for visa appointment. Most likely, You will need to re-apply via the lottery. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Find a new employer who is willing to transfer your H-1B so that on Oct 1 your H-1B becomes effective with your new employer. This would still be Cap-Exempt petition meaning no lottery needed. Needs to be done sooner than later as Amazon is legally required to tell USCIS that they don't need your H-1B anymore. In that case, USCIS might give it to people in the wait-list unless you have already gotten it transferred.
