Got offer from above companies: Sam's sr de: 140k base +20% bonus + 25k rsu(Dallas) Chase lead infra engineer vp: 160k + 15% bonus (Dallas) Heb sr de: 160k + 15% bonus(Dallas) Chewy sr de: tc 240k(Boston) Any inputs?
No.one vote sams club? Reasons? Lol
Base low for sams
Toxic work culture at Walmart/Sam’s for techies.
Why chase over sams?
Which team in sams ? WLB depends on team
Dayum rto in Dallas? Crime ridden dumpster. How bad is it in Dallas boss?
Most of those are Plano. 30 miles north.
What is your current tc
Got laidoff from gemini earlier, 165k without equity paper
Ok yoe and what was the severance
Will you have to work holidays since this is considered retail?
$160k at Chase in Plano will go further than $240k in Boston. What’s the income tax in Mass?
For real?
Op- 50% higher pay in Boston …even with taxes, rent it won’t be that high !!!! If cold is an issue then you can consider Plano otherwise no brainer - Chewy
Boston is expensive af when it comes to rent
Pick chewy !!!!! Almost impossible for Sams club cannot match chewy base !!!!!
But Bostons cost of living is higher
True however not 50% hike. No brainer to chose chewy unless cold climate is an issue
Chewy is a great place to work and Boston is awesome. That said I think Chewy annual bonus is 10% of pay, paid out quarterly. So that would be $17k unless they recently changed something. RSU refreshers are 40% over a 4 year period with a 1 year cliff
Is the 40% over 4 years for higher level position? I’m a recent grad and just received an offer as an analyst and they offered 15% over 4 years. Is this expected for a recent grad at Chewy or what can I negotiate to?
It might be based on C-level, but I'm not sure. Ask your recruiter for more information, in particular, if there are annual RSU refreshers in addition to the RSUs that were awarded for joining
YOE? Remote? In office?
Most about to rto or hybrid. Yoe 6
