Strange Behavior from Trans Coworker

My wife is a product manager a FAANG company. Today she observed a trans-woman coworker taking milk out of the mothers’ room (where working moms who are breast feeding their babies go to pump milk). There is a fridge in this room, and my wife saw the trans woman enter the room then leave with 2 or 3 bags of milk shortly thereafter. Should my wife report this to HR? Is this normal? My wife is an ally but this concerned her.

What the fuck.

That doesn’t sound normal to me

Was it your wife’s milk? If not, she needs to mind her own business

No it was not hers.

said like someone who has never pumped.

What’s AGP?

I don’t see how someone being trans or not is relevant here? If anyone did this who is not a new mother, it would be odd.

My wife explained her concern like this: if it were a cis-man, she would have a concern because she knows the milk can’t possibly belong to him. I think she has the same idea about the trans woman. I’m not sure if that’s an ok thought to have.

It’s ok to have thoughts. Stop letting them police your mind. You’re noticing the insanity.

Forget the person’s identity, it’s not relevant. If the milk is being stolen by someone, then of course she should report it.

I would argue that it is because it provides a motive for them to do that. Many people who say they're trans-women are really autogynephiles, so this person probably gets turned on by pretending they're a woman and by taking other women's breastmilk. However, in our insane world, we cannot say that openly. So as far as HR advice goes, I would phrase it as OP's wife having some concerns about people who aren't breastfeeding accessing the room and taking milk out of it that does not belong to them. HR can then generally send an email saying that people who're not lactating should not be in the room etc. and hopefully this would then stop. There is a way to signal that the behavior is unwelcome without falling for the woke traps and getting falsely accused of "transphobia". But the reality is that none of these people are women and none of them have any business in our single sex spaces. This needs to stop. So we should object as much as we can in smart ways, while protecting ourselves.

Do you have any sources on trans women being autogynephiles? Or are you just making shit up?

Why are employees stealing milk 😂

Amazon COBS72 Apr 24

It’s breast milk

"Let them steal milk you bigot."

Most nursing mothers will be keeping close track of what they're pumping, as this is literal food for their kids and is only good for a limited period of time. Breast milk will usually be bagged and labeled with a date and maybe name. If breast milk is being stolen, the mother would be the first person to notice. I'm not saying the person should or shouldn't report, but certainly the way the post was written, it sounds more like troll bait than anything.

Who created this problem by claiming gender is a social construct

Amazon COBS72 Apr 24

Well ….. have any of the lactating mothers complained ???? If they haven’t mind your business

Google Berkeley👎 Apr 26

Obviously they are. OP's wife is.

Amazon COBS72 Apr 26

All op said was that his wife observed it ….. he didn’t say his wife is utilizing the room or that’s she’s storing her milk in there either soooooo there’s that 🙂‍↔️
