Severance & Unemployment

I’ve accepted my severance package will I also be able to get unemployment. Instead of being given a Lum Sum in the past TMO will be giving us our severance payment in a weekly form. Glad I left this shithole toxic company.

Weird. Will that be considered as being on a payroll? Also why the F do they do it that way?

If you are not earning a wage (and that means you are not on a payroll) you can get unemployment. Not sure about your situation but curious to know how this weekly $hit works. I’m glad you are feeling better that you left. Sometimes we need the push. Best of luck for the next play, OP!

You can apply for unemployment as soon as the weekly payments are finished. (First hand knowledge.)

I had worked at T-Mobile as a contractor a decade ago and always a revolving door of contractor brain drain, too many projects going on at once so requirements get missed. Contractors are just paid hourly so they don’t show initiative.
