I actually think opposite. There are a lot of diversity initiatives and women in tech is a real thing. This means the referral bonus has a higher probability of hitting the bank account since women hiring in tech is a higher priority
I agree. Being a women should mean nothing when it comes to hiring, it should be whoever could do the job best.
