Anthropic, Plaid, Scale, Notion offer review
these offers are for non tech roles (not eng, product, data, etc). been lucky enough to receive a few offers. i am 3 months away from vesting at plaid so it's pretty close but still a while away which means i would have to walk away from my equity. also anthropic tc is somewhat lower than what i would have thought for non tech but the opportunity seems too good to pass up? they also have a no negotiation policy so it's take it or leave it. scale seems interesting, although i've heard it somewhat sucks to work there. notion seems promising, but of course the valuation is up for debate. they are also the most generous with equity though. can’t edit the poll but here’s the breakdown: plaid: 190 base/238 stock anthropic: 250 base/160 stock scale: 220 base/230 stock notion: 230 base/256 stock #anthropic #plaid #notion #scale #offer
what type of non tech role? what level?
design. not all companies have clear levels. anthropic doesn’t yet. but i guess you could call it L4 or L5 depending on the company

tc might be lower but going to anthropic will be a huge resume booster. if you are truly interested in ai research and want to be at the forefront then it’s a no brainer. don’t let tc be the only thing that dictates career moves. i would forego the plaid equity in a heartbeat to go to anthropic lol plaid ain’t going public anytime soon anyways
yeah maybe not going public this year but being less than 3 months from vesting is so close it low key kinda sucks to think about walking away and starting from zero again

What % of total shares are these equity offers? How are you converting to a cash value?
don't know % of shares, but best i could do was some napkin math on strike price/fmv provided by recruiters to arrive at some sort of number that i can compare across the board. not perfect but it's what i have to work with.
