Are these total comps in the same ballpark? Meta L3 (TC $80k) = Citi Analyst Meta L4 (TC: $100k-140k) = Citi Associate Meta L5 (TC: $140k-180k) = Citi AVP Meta L6 (TC: $190-290k) = Citi VP Meta L7 ($300k-400k) = Citi Director Is that something in this ballpark for seniority and compensation? Thanks I understand there is a COL difference between NYC and Bay Area, but just curious if the seniority are in the same ballpark? I'm going off of levels fyi for SWE: https://www.levels.fyi/?compare=JPMorgan%20Chase,Facebook,Citi,Goldman%20Sachs&track=Software%20Engineer L6 $290k (also pls correct me if I'm wrong on the Meta scales :P it's a guess)
80% of what you listed
Meta E6 is ..... Wait for it....... 600-800k
1.2m here. 636k when I started. So a fresh tc is that ballpark but once refreshers and stock appreciation, it gets close to and more than 1m.
You guys noticed OP is talking about finance?
The tc figurs are for Citi positions right? Meta pays way more for each level if you go by levels.fyi
Banking VP = Tech E5 Banking director = Tech E6
What would equivalent of fidelity L6 SDM to big tech?
I don’t know about SDM. But L6 SDE goes up to 200k TC . Probably an L5 at big tech ?
Money wise it’s probably L3
Citi AVP and associate are more or less the same at different levels of seniority level and not distinct in most businesses. As someone who has worked in both. The mapping that closest tracks in finance at Google is: L3/L2 Associate Financial Analyst (105k-165k) - Analyst/Senior Analyst (85-130k) L4 Financial Analyst (205k-225k) - Associate/AVP/Senior Associate (120-175k) L5 Senior Financial Analyst (265k-300k) - VP/SVP (155-250k) wide range because at some firms like Citi SVP is a distinct level or firms like Goldman there is to level in between VP and MD L6 Finance Manager (350k-400k) - ED/Director/SVP (225-325k) These are ballparks for Google so you can do your mapping however you see fit. The ranges for the bank are for HCOL locations in FP&A/Finance functions. Front office jobs obviously will pay way more as an associate in banking will make around 350-450k.
L6 finance managers aren’t getting paid 350-400k. Does this include stock appreciation?
Perfect. Thanks 🙏
(Base: $80k) = Citi Analyst (Base: $100k-140k) = Citi AVP (Base: $140k-180k) = Citi VP (Base: $180-240k) = Citi SVP (Base: $240k-300k) = Citi Director (Base: $300k-400k) = Citi Managed Director Finance bonus in NYC can range from 1% - 10% for at a VP level. The bonus calculation has been rumored to have reset this year wiping any precedent set in prior years. Citi is well known for committing verbally to higher bonuses to attract external candidates just to not come through on these promises.
Citi VP is much lower - more around $220k which was also a push! This was few years back
e7 is in million -2 mill
I don’t think Citi L4-L6 pay that much, MD could be higher
Since you're at JPM, what's a reasonable total comp for Sr associate vs VP for FP&A? breakdown between base and variable would be nice
At JPM functional bonuses generally are 10-20%, closer to 10. A SA in FP&A will probably make about 100-120 plus ~15% and a VP has a large band, generally 140-160 base plus 15%.
