I'm not asking for a job or referral (though if you'd like to refer me feel free), but I genuinely want to know why I haven't had much success in getting interviews so far. I applied to a bunch of places, failed resume screen at Facebook and Citadel so far. Still waiting to hear back from others. I got an interview with GM. And for those asking why I want to move from Google, the answer is that I was an intern and I'm still waiting to hear whether I'll get a return offer or not. In the mean time I'm trying to get backup options and competing offers. So if you review candidates at the resume screen phase, especially new grads, I'd appreciate any feedback you have about how I stack up to other candidates and specific ways in which I could improve my employmability. Please comment or dm if you're willing.
Could be because they know you are just trying to get competing offers for more negotiating $$$ and then go back to Google (which, to be fair, is what many people do π)
How can someone tell that from an online application, and what can I do to prevent that?
OP, u have a Google internship, so they knew, u might be expecting a full time offer and so u need a competing offer

You may need to optimize your resume for keywords. Nowadays most rejections at big companies happen from an automatic resume scanner. https://www.themuse.com/advice/beat-the-robots-how-to-get-your-resume-past-the-system-into-human-hands There's also automated tools that help you tune your keywords.
