To clarify: the terrorist attack was carried out by local white supremacists ON (mostly immigrant) Muslims, it was not carried out by immigrants on locals.
Wasn’t the guy an Australian living in New Zealand? Not that I am understanding the debate here - but I think it would make it a immigrant white supremacist attacking a community of locals who may have a bunch of immigrants among them.
Where’s the gofundme for victims of assault egg attacks?

Looked more like a slap to me than a punch. And tbh, although I agree with him in spirit I cant support it.
No need to encourage the teenager's stupidity.
It seems like reasonable self-defense to me. If the senator stands there passively so as not to take the bait, it can encourage follow-on attacks. Oh, not going to respond? Have another egg.
Yeah, once you hit someone unprovoked don't expect 'reasonable' retaliation. Don't dish it out, if you can't take it.
