We lived there for 8 years, lots of memories. Currently it has been rented for 2 years. Tenants are leaving due to relocation. Should we keep it or sell? How is Mercer island housing market recently? Edit: Reasons to keep; great location, neighborhood and top schools. Reasons to sell : a 1960s house requires more maintenance. Unclear housing market upsides. We sold a Bothell house 4years ago as we felt it’s distant with limited growth potential.. and the housing market approves how wrong we were. Should we hold this time? Or is it worth selling this one and buying a newer house in lower price zips?
Sell in Summer. Housing will be 20% higher in summer than current level.
I would sell, because given the 2022 projections, housing market should ideally flatten out pretty soon. Mercer Island is a good school district, so it would never hurt to keep it, but the upside may not be much higher than what you might currently get.
Thanks for the inputs! Do you know how is mercer housing market recently? Saw people talk about Bellevue/Redmond on blind, but not much about Mercer.
also, we sold a Bothell house 4 years ago thinking it’s distant with limited growth potential…so we are thinking if we should hold this time…
Hold, you are sitting on a gold mine
hold, mercer island will be pretty hot!!!!
Sell as markets hot and you don't sound like a hard core investment property owner
I would hold. Mercer Island will be even hotter market if not already is.
How much is the rent? I might be interested
