I filed complaints and finally got a call back from the WA AG office. #telecom
they suck and also played me dirty one time with a gift card promotion by signing up with them. When asked about the gift card they didn’t have a clue, I have to reach out multiple times with email confirmation where it said clearly that there was a gift card promotion and also sharing screenshots of their website, still, they refused to honor the promotion so I cancelled the service. A few months later I moved out and only had CenturyLink available so I had to go back to them, the gift card promo was still up and was able to get it (but not without asking for it)
Yes. I also complained to my state's AG, the FTC, and the FCC. The AG called me and asked a bunch of questions, so it sounds like they're actively investigating them.
I haven’t made my appointment for my interview yet but I’m happy something is being done.
Op - what came out of the call with the AG ? Was it just collecting basic facts or something more involved than that ? Hope you stick it to the ISP - sounds very manipulative

With the Fed not decreasing interest rates any time soon, does anyone else think this isn’t over for Tech layoffs?
What's the scam?
When I signed up a few years ago they said it was a set price for life. Then a few months ago they raised the price and I called and they said I imagined the whole thing. So I filed with FCC, FTC, and AG as did thousands of other people. The CenturyLink subreddit was on fire with pissed off people. I don’t even pay for my internet service but this shit is unethical and I hope they get nailed to the cross.
