I cleared a phone interview at Bloomberg for the AI Research Engineer Position and would like to know a little bit about the interview process. Since its an ML role, will I be asked about ML concepts and my work ex? Or will it be mostly LC? Also, how many rounds can I expect? Has anyone gone through the same process? I have no idea on what to expect and would be really glad if someone could guide me through the same. I heard Bloomberg asks LC Hards even for ML roles. Is that true? TC: 160k #tech #bloomberg #machinelearning
Can i ask how the phone screen is? I have one coming up for research engineer probably NLP
Any updates on the interview
I don’t do much leetcode-style stuff, so I can’t really calibrate my difficulty assessment to that. My interviews were probably around 40% leetcode, 40% talking about my experience and selling the AI work I had done, and about 20% conceptual questions focused on ML. The leetcode style questions were moderately difficult (I remember having one about DP and one about graphs, but I don’t recall the others). When you solved the problem, they had additional follow-up problems designed to make it harder.
How many coding and ml interviews did you have? 2 coding, 2 experience, 1 ML?
