Surprised it didnโt include crypto. Or NFTs.
If you refuse to believe in "buy the hype, sell the news", no one can help you
Well they announced the following AI based products which have existed since 15+ years: 1. Product recommendation in email receipts at the bottom of the email. Very few people open those emails, let alone go to the bottom of the email. 2. Targeted ads metrics to businesses to help them connect to the right customers. Ad targeting is an old phenomenon. 3. Offer recommendations and cashback on their consumer app based on buying habits (again, nothing new here this is e-commerce 101). No actual modern LLM AI recent inventions just the usual recommendations and targeting stuff. Most importantly, no AI at all in Venmo. Lastly zero AI in what makes them the most money - PayPal Checkout (only item about this was it will be 50% faster, lower latency now). So overall I guess Wall Street is smart enough to differentiate between AI and Recommendations now.
CEO is an idiot for hyping unimportant stuff
Still better than Jassy messing up an earnings call in spite of a good quarter at Amazon
