It’s not intuitive, hard to log in, proctors are jerks, and they’ll look for any way to lock you out and turn an already stressful event into a 3 martini day. After 3 system checks, an hour of drama logging in, and clearly seeing myself on video, the proctor who I could not understand well because he spoke so fast with such a thick accent, kept barking at me to log out and back in because he couldn’t see my video. He asked about me internet connection. It was great and my video was working on my end. He didn’t care. He told me I’d have to log out and back in. I begged him not to because I was worried I wouldn’t get back in because it took me an hour going through the process the first time. I offered to add a camera attachment if that would help. He told me to log out or he’d revoke the exam. I logged out and wouldn’t you know it, I was locked out and couldn’t access the exam any longer. Opened a ticket and now I get to wait days for some bs. Worst test taking experience ever! The bar isn’t high for test taking support, just that the software is accessible, works, and there is someone to assist. Pearson has non of those. And don’t get me on the proctors with a God complex. #pearsonvue #microsoft
I hear this "I see myself but they can't" is because of connection type (wired vs wireless) and firewall settings. Next time try changing connections. Sorry you ran into trouble!
Great advice. Thank you.
Just go to your nearest testing center. I wasn't about to install their software on my personal computer.
Absolutely. Rescheduled onsite. Not about to go through the drama again and I definitely hear ya on the software installation.
It’s a little messed up. Had a few bad experiences with them but other times it worked fine. If you lost a voucher or something due to time wastage then they will reissue you one. Don’t dwell too much on it.
Thank you. I was able to reschedule for an onsite test later this week. I can’t believe the system is the go to for so many tests.
