Hey guys, I am considering applying for a SWE role at Airbnb. I’d like to do remote working from Scandinavia, however, most positions on the career page under «Live and work anywhere» is tagged with UK, US, India or China. Does «live and work anywhere» truly mean «anywhere», or do I have to be hired in any of those 4 countries? TC: 250k £ #airbnb #remote #referral
If you’re a software engineer and you’re in good standing — yes. For non-swe, it depends on the role. I know many people who have worked for many weeks or months in Europe, India, Asia, Australia as long as they can keep a few hours on PST available. You can’t live in a country you weren’t hired in for more than a certain amount of time due to visa/tax restrictions though This does become a bit unfeasible if you are higher up in the company and need to meet with a lot of people to be effective
You consider applying ?? Well, good luck.
