Has been a wonderful ride for me so far! Will be retiring tomorrow and be done with blind as well. Happy to answer any questions. AGE: 44 NET WORTH: 11M UPDATE: Thanks you every one for you good luck and wishes! will be signing off today aftertoon. I wish everyone a very happy and successful life.
When did you join Apple and how did you build that net worth so quickly? Congratulations and happy retirement!
Have been working in apple for about 10 years now. All this time, i had invested heavily on Apple and Amazon shares. My net worth is largely due to appreciation in amazon share value. Thank you
How did you get soo much money?
Most profitable investment you made so far? (Other than your 9-5)
Congrats, what are you going to do now?
Moving to Colorado! Would like to hone my farming and gardening skills. I like painting as well, so going there to sketch some beauties !
Enjoy!
Any advice for someone just starting their career?
Be true to yourself! Dont worry about making mistakes, that’s how you learn. There will be people who will support and there will be a few that would discourage you. But never lose hope! All the best
Do you have a family?
44 is still young any reason why you wouldn't want to make it till like 50? You'd have an even bigger safety net and with that much saved up you wouldn't need to sell stocks for awhile and live off of dividends only.
More is never enough! I feel i am at comfortable position now to retire and do things i wanted and my wife wanted. We are simple people, never had big houses, never drove a merc or bmw. Honey, this amount of money is way more than I expected to ever have and i am very grateful for it
You're right, with that kind of perspective on spending you guys will be fine. Congrats and wishing you guys the best!
Can you also advice how to spend wise ? As in how much to spend and save ratio based on your experience. Thanks and good luck with your retirement 😊
Congrats. I love how humble and kind you have been in your responses here.
Lived a simple life and will do so for the rest of it. Thank you and all the best!
Do you consider yourself more lucky or smart to make 11M in ~20 years? Luck here means huge tech stock growth in last few decades, which new folks like me won’t going to experience.
More lucky than smart. I had a gut feeing about amazon going big, invested early and heavily and it worked out for me
Great decision and amazing returns! I started some investment in AMZN, but as I am just in 3rd year of career didn’t have huge savings beyond Google RSU and several months’ emergency fund. Also I inclined to diversify as a newbie.
Congratulations, and go fuck yourself. (it's a common term used in the FIRE community, no disrespect intended)
Will take that as a compliment, thank you!
