AMD internal survey - did they actually increase base and refreshers this year?
It seems like they’re also emphasizing that the “compa ratio” is more in like to competitors.(I assume NVIDIA, Intel, apple) What I hate about these “compa ratios” is that they don’t include the value of RSU/refreshers at all. NVIDIA is paying (probably) similar base as AMD, but with 10x the RSU’s. How’s that fair? They started a new survey a couple weeks ago. I wonder if they look at the comments... Max 30+ K for MTS. Maybe double for SMTS. 100K for PMtS Bay Area.

AMD is cheap af on their refresh. They said they increased RSU by 65% from last year. Well mine only went up ~20%
All exec went up by 200 percent :)
The exec compensations are published regularly. Many execs were paid less in 2020 compared to 2019 for some reason. But that still doesn’t justify the low RSU for the rest of us. They even announced a stock buyback but we don’t know what they’re going to do with it yet.

Fill it up in the survey. Sometimes I wonder why our ratings in the compensation survey are still in the 60’s. It should be _much_ lower given how competitive our products are and the peanuts were getting as reward

The folks who stayed here since then have reaped the benefits - and it’s well deserved. I’m mostly talking about new hires in the past year and a half who have been offered really low RSU’s.
It never went to 1 dollar. And it’s not true many people have gotten rich. If you actually work here you’ll find out people are disappointed with comp. comp is the lowest score in the survey. Like high 60s. Stock went brrrrrrr but refresher is crap. Same $ amount to 2x.
