Which stock has better growth potential in coming 5 years and how much growth you guys expect for each ? If you feel any other semiconductor stock has better growth potential, please comment. I am holding both but thinking of increasing positions in AMD since Nvidia seems overvalued. Nvidia PE Ratio - 78.23 ( 9/22/21 ) AMD PE Ratio - 37.28 ( 9/22/21 ) #Nvidia #amd
I think NvidiA has better roadmap w.r.t autonomous driving( amd didn’t even enter to that field) and ai. I voted for NvidiA
That makes sense!!
Tesla ditched NVIDIA though. And they now use AMD for their in car entertainment system (musk showed cyberpunk running on it)
AMD is starting to dominate in CPUs and also stepping up their game at GPUs—- they have come a long way from the budget brand that they used to be considered. I’m invested in both of these companies
Yeah latest amd generation of cards is pretty on par with Nvidia. And latest processors are pretty decisively better than Intel. Personally still lean Nvidia on gpu cause they're further ahead in software (DLSS is pretty amazing) but AMD has advantage of cpu+gpu and can do things like Smart Access Memory. AMD cpu meanwhile no longer carries a price discount compared to intel.
Agreed - both great companies. I think AMD has more room to grow
Nvidia is more interesting to me, but I like both. I prefer Nvidia because of their investments in software, whereas amd is much more hardware only. They are the primary choice for people doing AI due to superior software and libraries; eg pytorch only just got native support for amd like 6 months ago lol. Stuff like DLSS makes them a favorite over amd for gamers.
Intel has a response to DLSS. It’s not going to be exclusive to NVIDIA anymore. Xilinx has a lot of AI stuff to offer, which could be useful for AMD
Nvidia is more than hardware company now. It's with into AI, GPU cloud, cloud gaming (it's a leader in all these arenas) can fetch better result in upcoming years.
Stadia used AMD GPU’s. AMD is behind in AI and software though, but I wouldn’t count them out. Look at HIP and their recent contributions with tensorflow+directML
Stadia is not in good growth phase plus it's just using amd gpus whereas Nvidia runs it's own gaming cloud which is going strong.
The poll will reflect the price. NVIDIA will be ahead. The price itself is a giant poll. If you believe in the company do the opposite … that’s how you make money. Not by asking for an average opinion about a measure of value that reflects already built in knowledge in its level.
OP, I Would compare the ER trajectory of both companies and make a decision based on that and research on what’s coming from both in the future. Also consider AMD+Xilinx ER’s assuming the merger goes through. That should give a better picture of which one is a better investment
Yeah!! AMD+Xilinx would make AMD a very strong buy for sure. Especially if Nvidia+ARM does not go through.

Why is it so G*damn difficult to move money out of India
they are both overvalued, it's just that one is getting into future proof technologies and making strategic (and anticompetitive) acquistions
Do you like any other blue chip stock ?
Sorry I'm a bear and also house poor
