How is the culture at Amgen?
Just received an offer for an L6 Senior Manager role at Amgen. How is the culture there/career progression? Recruiters said I would be eligible for 5-10% Merrit increase each year - does that actually happen? #Amgen #Culture #Raise #Merrit #Pay #Promotion #Career #Advice

Don't worry about pst vs est. My team lets me log off by 6pm est. If I tell them I have to leave by 5 est they never have an issue with that

What was the compensation for L6 ?
$155K base 15% bonus + $20K RSUs/year
Is that the final offer? Did you get any joining bonus? And did you negotiate?

I like the culture. It’s very group dependent but overall it tends to be ambitious and fast pace (for biotech). Tends towards more collaborative focus. If a recruiter told you that then they are heavily mistaken. Merit is 2-4% yr. Maybe they meant bonus or rsu. At L6, it’s 15% target bonus and depending on rating and company performance it’ll vary from 15-30% of bonus.

For remote or TO that’s probably a little above median, depending on job title If you add in the 15%-20% bonus and 10% 401k match then it becomes solid. We also tend to be very solid as a company and are still hiring rapidly
