Planning to buy a car for a family of 4 (comfortable + safety) and would be used 50% in city (HYD) and 50% in highway (so need safe car). I love driving and this would be our first brand new car. Few options : 1. Tata Punch (2nd variant) = 7.2L 2. Tata Altroz (2nd variant) = 7.5L 3. Tata Nexon (base model) = 8.2L 4. Maruti Brezza (base model) 5. Skoda Slavia (base model) ~ 12L 6. Kia Sonnet = 8.3L Will be taking BH number plate so RTO would be around 10k for those cars. I am tight on budget as TC is low ~ 20L Considering that will keep this car for 5 yrs and eventually move to EV.
I would recommend nexon as it’s bigger and safer and comfortably seats 5.
Yes, with that budget am getting base model which does not have some basic features. Also mileage is lower than Altroz or Punch.
Measured the rear space of nexon, it's same as punch Leg space is few inches more in nexon Boot space also looks bigger in nexon
Can consider i20 as well. I have it and it's the best hatchback in the category. By far the smoothest. Though the mileage is not so good but the car feels nice and premium
Have driven i20, it's good. What mileage you get?
Around 12-13 city 16-18 highway. Also depends on who is driving. I don't rev the engine much so I get better mileage then my family members. These are automatic numbers... Manual will get you better mileage
Buy Automatic because you live in city (trust me on this one). No other advice from me
Do check out second hand car market , you would get 30% better deal for 2-3 years old car
Amazon me hoke itni kanjoosi
So all these cars are good enough for regular commute?
go for nexon mid model, best
Go for Altroz man....sexy car, superb performance, excellent mileage
Uber
How about Baleno? My friend has a Brezza; says it feels like a tin can on highways.
Maruti build quality is very bad. That's why my top choices are Tata cars with 5* safety ratings.
Old brezza was a tin can. New one is good
Which of these is EV or hybrid?
None. Only Brezza is hybrid.
Get the hybrid. 5 years later when 1 USD = 150 INR, you'll be glad you are not paying so much for petrol.
