How's the interview process for ASIC arch and design @ Google. I've around 1 YOE but very passionate in Comp Arch.
This advice is pretty stupid. Both scope and TC are vastly better at Google. It is true that google Arch hires are typically experienced folks, but if you get a chance, take it!
No, the advice above is spot on. The process, craftmanship and learning you will get as a newbie from Google HW is not on par with what you will get from a full blown semiconductor company. If you are an industry veteran and they are offering you a lot of $ take it, else Apple/NVIDIA are your career builder
@carbonn hey I recently interviewed at Google and hr called me for asking my salary details what are my chances and how long does it take from here ?

How common is it actually to earn more than 300K TC?
I would say stay at Cadence for a spell as Google is not fully there with its maturity process on ASIC. Funny enough - ASIC is a BIG part of the intel portfolio for Intel and with a new CEO you will likely climb quickly. Google takes / prefers experienced hires ATM. (Source: am a noogler) ex intel
