Do you expect it to bounce back? Or did all the ex-amazon people you hired cause perm damage?
I have been and Atlassian administrator for probably a dozen different companies as a contractor and as a full-time employee. Jira has become too expensive and Atlassian as a company has become too insensitive to the needs of their customers. It seems that they love smelling their own farts rather than actually doing what is necessary for the customer. The cloud service is easily overwhelmed, and large workloads fail constantly because of the restrictions placed upon cloud. Data center addition starts out at $10,000 to install for the smallest instances. Atlassian originally worked because you could start for $10 for 10 people indefinitely and move up from there. Those days are long gone. I get contacted by people mostly because they’re looking to migrate away from Atlassian products.
Thanks - this is very helpful context. I've always found JIRA lacking as a customer but have been a fan of the company's culture. Let's see what happens
Just to note, this is the first quarter after the stopped selling their normal server addition. Nobody likes being told that you have to move off of a product on the one that cost 2 to 3 times as much. An example is we had an instance that was costing us something like $100,000 a year and it jumped to $250,000 a year.
Your money is gone Rajesh
Thanks, Romit.
Hey, it came back lol
Rip
Made more than expected, spent a lot more than expected. Not enough people moving to the cloud (higher margin).
Ask ex-Meta folks
We have shit products and Customers are churning. The company too busy on engineering productivity instead of the customer. Company is oblivious because everyone is distracted with noise around the CTO and cutting benefits. Entire c-suite has been gutted in18 months except for CPO, she made president. Senior leadership is now all ex Meta. All senior execs dump stocks upon vest. We are fucked.
Ugh so sorry!! I really wanted to work for Atlassian. Fingers crossed the culture improves and c suite changes
C suite is not changing, and the culture is morphing into Meta/tech Corp. That's what the founders wanted
After hours was an overreaction yesterday. Already mostly bounced back.
we have ex / laid off meta folks. not many amazon though
JFC what happened here
