It's not a "hard" limit, that's called a soft limit. If you're in a congested area, (middle of a decent sized city), you'll notice things get fairly slow. Idk about AT&T, but TMO has Magenta Max with no soft cap. EDIT: I'm not keeping up with the times - Go5G Next is the newer plan, although I think they still sell Magenta plans.
