Moving to Santa Clara this week. Which one should I choose? Seems like for the money I'm getting a better deal with ATT fiber ($60/month gets me 1000mbps, unlimited data, HBOmax). EDIT: ah, seems like you cannot skip equipment fee with ATT, which is $10/month.
Netflix or Infosys?
Nah, I'm still at a startup in SF, working remotely. But my wife found a job in one of big semiconductor companies here, which will require her to go to the lab from time to time, that's why we moved to Bay Area.
what
Upload speeds is what’s important. Comcast doesn’t advertise theirs usually because they are not very good and shared with the neighborhood. Typically in the 5-15mbps. AT&T fiber is dedicated and you get 1000 up and down
Go with symmetric fiber.
if I had a choice - fiber, it is more reliable
If Sonic is in your neighborhood, choose them. Otherwise, AT&T.
Just checked. Seems like they would be providing their service through ATT fiber anyway.
Bummer. They ran their own lines in my neighborhood and their customer service + pricing is way better than anything else.
Xfinity is way better. Router is quite good. You can also get xfinity mobile and save good $$ while getting Verizon.

You don’t need 1000mbps 300 mbps is more than enough
I agree, but their deal with HBO max makes it really attractive.
