This is so lame. No wonder why how they have been losing their market share historically. Time for a new CEO.
Op is misinterpreting. I think the remote employees are being asked to report to a main location once a week or something like that.
Which means they are no longer remote and need to move near a main location. Assuming if you don't comply you're fired then ops title is kinda accurate
No it’s not. They are not firing people, but asking them to come to office on hybrid basis. Accurate title is, eliminating remote work, not “laying off workers”.
Good on them
Finally. The pandemic is managed. Time to go back to the office. People forget its less work and more fun
Why are you happy employees at a company you don’t work for have to return to office one day a week?
Misery loves company
This isn’t true.
I will share a screenshot

Some truth… we are going from 70% to under 10% remote… and you will need to be in 1 of our hub locations or depending, one of the secondary hub locations
It depends on your role i.e customer facing, if you’re not near a hub you can work out of a central office and still be considered in office.
My VP already said I’m staying virtual… I made it clear in the past that if they make me go to the office on a regular basis I would GTFO
If you're remote and not near a hub city then yeah, it seems like your option is going to be to move or get fired
I am surprised the company is making this drastic change like that. What’s driving it or what reasons were provided?
They need to save CRE. I am surprised it took them so long.
Divested AT&T. Thanks for heads up.
