I think I understand a few things about AWS Level 7 comp from reading here and talking to folks at AWS... 1. Base maxes out at 160k (except in SF) 2. There are year-1 and year-2 cash payments, usually around 100% and 80% of the base 3. There is some stock grant (RSU) that vests over 4 years, at 5%, 15%, 40%, and 40% Please correct the above if I'm off base. Also.. what else happens after year 1? In particular, are there additional RSU grants each year that vest on a ramp, such that they stack up and continually contribute to your overall compensation beyond year 4?

My question is in regard to what happens after the initial offer. Are there additional RSU grants, for example?

What role is it? If it’s software engineer - total compensation is around 700k-$1 million. Software Manager probably less.
Does it really go that high? L7@Amazon is staff engineer isn't it? 700k+ seems like L8 level.
Its not that high. Avg is around 500k.
