I applied for an L7 Principal Engagement manager role and provided a $291 base/$350-$450k range to the interviewer before my loop. I just got an offer Atlanta area for the Global Financial services team as Sr. Engagement Mgr L6, claiming I did well in the loop but did not qualify for the L7 role. TC: $291k Base: $191k Signon; 1yr $90k 2nd yr $68k RSU: 80 Recruiter claims base pay of L6 max $200k/TC band max $300k for Atlanta area. 1. Does anyone have any experience with AWS Proserv GFS team? 2. What is the band for L6 AWS ProServ Non-tech for Atlanta - Base/TC? I am sure other than NY/SF/Seattle it is would be similar to Atlanta 3. Is $350k - $400k TC out of the question? I have 20 YOE. Thanks for your feedback in advance. #tech #salarynegotiation #salarycomparison #aws #amazonaws #amazoncompensation #L6 #amazonl6
That sounds about the best offer. I am from HCOL and make about the same for L6 ProServe Sr EM
Was that base on promotion? Currently L5 EM at $220 K trying to understand possible promo offer?
High for mcol
OP...i am in the exact same situation..interviewed for L7..got offer for L6 senior engagement manager and with YoE of 19 years. TC: 250k Base:168k Signon: 1yr: 74k 2yr: 61k RSU: 1200 (after split) were you able to negotiate on your TC? did you accept the offer?
EM salaries seem way lesser than similar tech roles ?? TC of 250k in AWS seems pretty average from a general market standpoint IMHO.
Yes, was thinking the same. the location is remote. is asking for 20% more ok or is it too much?
Was able to hit the $335 TC and accepted based on competitive offers.
Thanks OP..thats gr8 input for my negotiation! congrats! did they budge on base salary? how much did they move if at all? what were your negotiation levers?
The culture work and clients all provide a poor experience . I have been here 10 months and I regret joining the organization .
Now that you have been in AWS ProServe for a year, would you move to a CSM role (which seems quite similar to a EM) if you had the option? I believe CSM role is in AWS while ProServe is the services / consulting arm. Are ProServe folks always supposed to be billable? What if there are few or minimal projects ?
I left the company and joined something better . The CSM role is much worse no clear scope or span. It's a project coordinator at best
Really? Am going to join but the people who interviewed me said it’s easy to Move across and they support horizontal growth. I was hoping to join and transition to another role?
I am in proserve and the above sounds about right for l6 . Many go slightly higher but depends on your loop performance and need. Culture is driven by your client mostly . Definitely the role is intense and culture takes a while getting used to
