Hi all, Looking for info on this role. Other posts suggested I get a Linux Academy sub and go through the SA content. Some also recommended that I look through all the interview questions on glassdoor. What's the WLB/Culture like in the partner solutions org? How many "deals/opportunities" would someone work at the same time? How much support is there horizontally from other teams/roles? Also, I'm assuming I'll have much better exit ops at AWS than Adobe for SA type roles. Lastly, I don't think I'd move from Adobe to AWS unless the offer was around $300k, as I've been at Adobe <1 year, and if things don't work out at AWS I'll have more pressure to stay so that I don't have two jobs back to back with <1 year tenure. Is $300k TC feasible for an L6 Sr SA in the partner solutions org? Thank you! TC 240K 4.5 YOE #tech
$300k TC for L6 is possible, but it's almost impossible you would get leveled at L6 with only 4.5 YOE and coming from Adobe. You would be mid to lower end of L5, if you do pass the interview and get an offer.
Appreciate your input! Will manage my own expectations. I'm assuming interview performance will be important as well. Also, I should be more specific. It's been 4.5 years since I graduated from college, but I have 2 years of FTE before graduating college at local tech companies (one was a Healthcare tech startup), so companies have evaluated me at YOE since college + 2, so if AWS does the same I'll be evaluated at 6.5-7 yoe.
Realistically, forget about L6 and focus on passing the L5 interview by studying SA Associate certification materials and writing 1-2 STAR format stories per leadership principle, demonstrating how you used an Amazon leadership principle in the past (16-32 stories). Bring the notes with you to the interview - it's allowed.
