Who’s winning the war?
AWS has won the war many times over. Now, Azure has deployed the secret weapon - AzureOpenAI. Let's see how this goes.
You mean m365/teams. It's that first hit the dealer gives you for free to get you hooked. CFOs then do the ol 'we're getting this thing [azure] for free, why aren't we using it?'
This secret weapon is probably limited to special workloads, thus can’t compete with AWS’s scale.
If LLMs actually become a thing. Then Azure might win in the future as it will have first mover advantage to finetune LLMs
Maybe. AWS has no less than THREE AI products - Intel Gaudi, Annapurna Trainium and NVidia. In general, the nVidia stack is half a year ahead on Azure. However, Trainium is cheaper. And money often wins.
Google clouds
Lol, Google can't sell GCP internally let alone selling it to external customers. They will probably end up killing all of GCP one day when Larry is drunk and call it quits on TK.

Is "From the River to the Sea" So Wrong?
It's almost impossible to migrate cloud providers. All these companies that are saying "build on cloud agnostic infra" don't recognize how just money it costs in DevOps to migrate over. With that said, azure and gcp need to do a much better job targeting growing companies that aren't adopted into the AWS ecosystem yet. It's literally like switching from iOS to Android, you're not going to want to switch if you're already in the iOS ecosystem. The only people buying androids are the ones that have used it historically, and new phone users (this is coming from an Android user)
