AWS interview by really junior person

Has anyone encountered being interviewed by really junior folks for roles at AWS. I have 15+ years experience as a Product Manager in tech and was interviewed by a guy who was 6 months out of school in a PM role! How is this okay? Am I the only one who finds this ridiculous?

With that kind of attitude, I’m assuming you didn’t get the job.

Yes, you are. What’s the problem? If you are properly leveled, you should have no issues during that interview. Or are you afraid that he might uncover some deficiencies in your fundamentals that others might not bother to ask about? 🍆

Talk about EGO. What the fuck is the problem with you? You think people with less than your experience are not qualified to interview you? When junior people interview you, they’re checking for team fit and general stuff. If you can’t come to terms with that, you’re best not hired IMO.

You are the one attempting to join his/her team. I know it sounds like a blow to the ego but they are a member of the team you're trying to join and if you are struggling to accept their input on your work now, you might struggle in that team in general. I think you need to remember that everyone can add value on the team even if they have less experience than you.

The same happened to me as a dev. Fresh grad interviewed me when I had 6 years of experience. Nothing to get riled up about. I still got the offer if that helps you. They are mostly interviewing you on a set of precisely coded leadership principles.

Professors are interviewed by grad students when they are looking for jobs. They want to identify how would you work with junior members of the team. Someone in the loop will drill into your past experience. But the 6 months guy is going to focus on different aspect. If you look at it this way, you will have easier time when you get such interviews in the future.
